I'm an assistant professor at the MIS department, Terry College of Business, University of Georgia. Previously I earned my PhD in Information Systems at NYU Stern School of Business , advised by Prof. Anindya Ghose. I did my master's in Business Analytics at the University of Maryland with a research focus on network embeddings. Prior to that, I completed my undergrad at Nanjing University in China, where I studied Management and Economics. You could find my CV here.
My research seeks to understand human economic behaviors in environments with emerging technologies and following policy implications, especially relevant to the creator economy and digital labor.
Specifically, my work has several main components:
Understanding the digital labor production process in markets: The dynamics of live streamer' interaction choices and latent mental states; Content creators' collaboration choices. How generative AI impacts freelancers' job and contractual preferences.
Evaluating policy implications: How non-monetary engagement platform design interacts with monetary outcomes; Strategic disclosure of privacy policies under a multi-agent measurement framework.
How designs of (embodied) agents shape human behaviors in markets: The role of embodied agents in group hiring discussion; Latent communication in bargain agents.
Methodologically I employ both structural and reduced-form econometrics models. I also develop technical frameworks that adapt and integrate deep learning tools for social and economic empirical studies.
